We are all familiar with CG animated movies such as Toy Story and Avatar, or the virtual environments of console games. Now you can learn the techniques used by digital artists to create these exciting worlds. Node Graphics is now offering you the chance to participate in 3d animation workshops. Covering the basics of modelling, texturing, lighting and animation, culminating in the creation of your own short CG movie.

These workshops are suitable for students over the age of 8 years and typically run from 6-12 sessions depending on the requirements of the school or community group involved. The software used in the workshops is open source which means that it is free and downloadable for all students at no cost. The workshops are suited to an I.T. lab in a school, or any other facility with a number of PC’s or Mac’s available. All required software is supplied and installed by Node Graphics.
